I agree with you Dave, just not about Dice. My opinion to jettison him is based on watching him the last couple years… his latest outing against Oakland just convinced me. He is a burden on the team and especially the bullpen. He’s out for two weeks… so let’s see how we do without him. I’m not worried in the slightest about the rest of the team. . . although the news about Lowrie ain’t bueno.

“The season is not over yet”? No kidding, it literally just started. There are still 5 months until the playoffs start. Let’s not get hasty here. The yankees have struggled at the beginning months of the season for the past couple of years just to turn it around at the All-Star time and jump up to first or second place. There are numerous teams who looked like garbage and then managed to pull it around when they needed to. I would much rather have this team struggle in April than in September. I agree that Ortiz, Pedroia and Dice-K are struggling but let’s not forget that they were all playing in the WBC and need some time to adjust and get back to MLB rhythym. I have no doubt that the Sox will get their shit together and start playing some meaningful ball very soon. The Panic button is still months away.
